TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Mineral-rich hot springs have natural therapeutic properties treasured for centuries by people all over the world. When you visit Guanacaste and Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, you must experience the incredible hot springs at Rio Negro.
Beautiful and relaxing, these volcanic hot springs are heated naturally by the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano – the largest and most active volcano in Guanacaste, Costa Rica which has an elevation of 1916 meters high.
Surrounded by thick forest, the crystal clear river flows through amazing pools created to capture the steaming mineral-rich water. You can access pools – of varying temperatures – on both sides of the river connected by two spectacular hanging bridges.
While relaxing in your favorite pool, keep your eyes open as this site is renown for the presence of the famous Blue Morpho. Spot on and make a wish!
After releasing all your stress in the pools why not indulge into a volcanic mud application and benefit from its rejuvenating properties. After it dries, wash it off with a cool shower or jump in the river before soaking again in the hot pools. The complete relaxation is pure bliss.
