Situated on the shores of Lake Nicaragua. It is home to multiple Spanish colonial landmarks that have survived repeated pirate invasions. The city’s main plaza is dominated by the colorful, neoclassical facade of the Cathedral of Granada, originally dating to 1583. You will have the chance to enjoy the fascinating view of Omotepe Island which is home to two majestic volcanos: Concepción which is active and dominating the landmark beside Maderas Volcano. This will be your chance to take photos of the worlds largest island. One of the highlights of the trip is when you will arrive at majestic crater of Masaya Volcano. This active volcano sometime forms an impressive cloud in the sky. When it is clear you can see the fire in the center of the crater. We will also have the chance discover the city of Masaya and visit its colorful craft market in the city. This is your opportunity to purchase amazing artisanal artwork at really good prices. The journey also brings you to Lake Granada where, during a boat tour, you will discover over 30 islands scattered on the shores of the largest lake in Central America. You will then continue your journey towards the colonial city of Granada, then visit the church of La Merced – originally built in 1534. From its tower, visitors have a panoramic view of the oldest city in Central America. What to bring Passport valid for a least 6 months.
